Brazilian Grooves Bilingual Latin Dance Workout

Pre-registration is encouraged, but drop-ins are welcome!

This is a super fun, all-level class, open to everyone. (No prior dance experience required!) Class features a thorough warm-up and movement across the floor to beautiful, authentic, often fast-paced rhythms. From Carnaval samba to Afro Brazilian, traditional movement, as well as other fun Afro Latin dance forms, from Cuba & beyond.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Anna is a multilingual professional dance artist, leading fun, high energy master class workshops and retreats all over the world, for nearly three decades. Former lead dancer of award-winning, SF-based, Samba do Coração, Anna has performed widely in the Bay area and beyond. Anna's classes draw from a rich repertoire - her training in Caribbean, Cuban, and Afro-Brazilian dance forms is fortified by her academic study, at the Master's level, in ethnomusicology and cultural history of Afro-Latin America. Anna holds a Master's in Latin American Studies from U.C. Berkeley, focused on Afro-Caribbean 'folk' forms, in music dance and languages.

Esta es una clase súper divertida, para todos los niveles, abierta a todos. (¡No se requiere experiencia previa en baile!) La clase incluye un calentamiento completo y movimientos por la pista al ritmo de ritmos hermosos, auténticos y, a menudo, rápidos. Desde samba de Carnaval hasta movimientos tradicionales afrobrasileños, así como otras divertidas formas de baile afrolatino, de Cuba y más.
